  • Milwaukee Water Works residential customers with a total past-due balance of $1,500 or less are eligible for a PromisePay payment plan. Customers must be past-due on their bill to be eligible for a payment plan.

  • No, these payment plans are interest-free. There are no late fees, no prepayment penalties, etc.

  • Yes. If you pay with ACH (Automated Clearing House via an electronic fund transfer), the fee is $0.40/transaction. Credit/Debit/Apple Pay/Google Pay: 1.95% per transaction. There are no transaction limits.

    3. Make your first payment. PromisePay accepts credit/debit cards, bank transfers (ACH), Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
    4. Pay off your balance over time with no interest and no late fees. We make it easy with automated monthly payments and reminders.
  • Residential customers with a total past-due balance of $1,500 or less are automatically qualified for an interest-free payment plan.

  • Your payment plan covers your past-due balance and your current charges as of the day you enroll. However, you must pay all new water service bills with Milwaukee Water Works directly.

  • Your new bills must be paid to Milwaukee Water Works to keep your water service on. Your agreed upon plan payments must be paid to PromisePay for past-due balance payment processing.

  • If you need an extension for your plan payment or need to make a change to your plan, just let us know. We are here for you and will do whatever we can to help you make it work.

  • Yes, if you sign up for a payment plan with PromisePay you can still get any available community-based grants or other relief that you are otherwise qualified for.
